Several different colors and styles are confirmed to release throughout the Spring and Summer. Weronika Leahy Pundit. Is the KD 12 a good shoe? The Nike KD 12 is just an all-around good shoe that should cater to most players needs. They fixed a lot of things that I didn't like in the predecessor KD The cushioning is amazing, materials are solid, fit and support are great!
Marietou Arruego Pundit. When did KD 12 come out? Combining full length Zoom Air along with four-way Flywire. In addition the strobel disconnects the athlete from the shoe's responsive cushioning.
Diyana Antunez Pundit. What is Quad Axial Flywire? Ebenezer Italiana Pundit. What are KDS? Designed and built for one of the game's most versatile players, Kevin Durant shoes feature the latest in Nike technology to create stability, durability and comfort for dynamic athletes.
The external midfoot shank kept the foot in its natural shape without additional, and sometimes painful, flexing of the arch. Again, the Adaptive Fit strap did what it was meant to do but it did not make me jump for joy. Mostly I would rate this as an average performer and nothing higher than that. Well theyre built around his specific needs, as are every signature, so i wouldnt feel bad… Its exactly what he wants.
I have great expectations performance wise from the KD line which has taken over Kobes [terribly failed this year; if only the Elites can save them] for best basketball performance on a signature athlete.
What started out as an affordable option for a signature performance shoe will no longer be applicable in the future. Without any true upgrades or enhancements, this is a turnoff for me. As for being the best signature sneaker from a performance standpoint… I disagree as Jordan Brand is highly underrated in the performance market in my personal opinion.
V i feel each of the two outperforms overall when compared to the KD line. There are parts of each shoe i would take and combined which would make for an affordable shoe which would also perform exponentially well for its price point. Separate they both fall slightly short in some areas though… But that can be said about many sneakers.
I was in somewhat a similar situation. I probably just buy one per year or per 18 months. Also, I was looking for a low to below-mid type of shoe. Damn, I thought CP3. Now a pass for me, cause I want an upgrade after my Kobe 6…. Just bc the kobe is better doesnt mean i dont recommend the CP3s.
Theyre slightly comparable but also very different in many ways. I just personally feel the kobe 6 was a great shoe. With exception to the KD 3 since I never bought or tried them before, that was my eventual ranking between those 3 shoes.
I got the Kobe VI. I think theyre ugly and not sure exactly if theyd prevent roll overs other than them having two exaggerated outriggers which seems obvious. I personally dont think a higher cut and strap system would be that effective since weve seen both on performance shoes numerous times before. I havent had the chance to take these out on the court just yet but they do have a full length forefoot zm unit.
Traction on the KD was great and full length herringbone so these may not live up to that standard but we will see soon enough. I usually just wear the shoes at home as often as i can to break them in as much as possible before hitting the court.
I dont know about the bloodlines since i havent used then but i typically dont like straps except for the jordan 8s which i feel work best.
The strap on the KDs didnt improve the fit significantly enough for me to prove effective. The air max sweep thu looks to be better though. As for a basic midfoot strap, i personally feel if a strap is in place, thats where it should go.

Of course, that might also make the midfoot far too narrow, so try these on first if you can, with thick socks on hand. The underside of the Hyperfuse layered upper and edging of the collar are simply too harsh at first otherwise. The collar felt amazing by comparison, and the shoe had no pressure spots.
Much of that newfound discomfort can be attributed to the new fused approach. There's just less padding along the underside in the hopes of shedding some weight. Now that we have all of the negatives out of the way, let's turn that frown upside down and take a glance at what I loved about the KD IV.
The strap, entirely unique and at first glance rather odd, works great. It's not useless like a forefoot strap, and not too restrictive like a collar strap either.
It's there for a nice additional layer of lockdown, is fully adjustable and works in tandem with the shoe's Adaptive Fit arch system. Well done. Will it continue in the KD line and in other shoes? That might be too early to get into, but I definitely wouldn't mind seeing it in other shoes.
This coming from a guy who hates pointless straps.
